Çakıl

Çakıl joined Nihan's family a couple of years before Mübs and Cavit. One day, while Nihan was out walking their dog Bambam, she with a scruffy little dog named Çakıl. The two of them immediately hit it off and played as if they had known each other forever.

When it was time for Nihan to head home, Çakıl simply decided to come along. He followed her all the way back and settled himself outside the front door. No matter how many times Nihan and her family checked on him, he was still there, patiently waiting.

Eventually, the family gave in and invited him inside. From that moment on, it was clear that he had chosen them. In fact, he was so worried that they might send him back outside that he refused to go through the door at all, even for bathroom breaks. For the first few days, they had to carry him outside in their arms.

Happy boy!

As the years passed, that nervous little street dog grew into a confident, affectionate companion. When the family moved from Turkey to Portugal, he settled into country life immediately and seemed right at home from day one.

One of the highlights of his new life has been his friendship with Nihan's friend's two dogs, Anam and Kara. They met during a visit to the friend's property and formed an instant bond. Somehow, Çakıl naturally became the calm, steady influence of the trio, the one the others seemed to look up to.

These days, the three friends enjoy spending time together between the two homes, whether they are relaxing in Nihan's garden, playing on her friend's land, or accompanying them during visits. Watching them together often reminds Nihan of having her son's friends over after school. They have their own friendships, favorite games, and familiar routines, and seeing them together never fails to make her smile.

Yes, he is stylish.
