Kitten Chef and her brother found on the streets of Ankara
Chef
Chef and her brother were found as tiny, motherless kittens on the streets of Ankara. Two kind-hearted women took them in and began the search for their forever homes. As is often the case, black cats can have a harder time finding adopters, and despite being the most gorgeous little panther, Chef faced the same challenge.
But then, a friend of her future parents came across Chef’s adoption post and immediately knew she was meant to be part of their family. Their only concern was whether Chef would get along with their resident dog – another rescue with a bit of anxiety. After researching cat-dog introductions, they decided to give it a try, carefully setting up a small, cozy room just for Chef during the adaptation period.
The wonderful women in Ankara, along with her brother’s new mom (also from Amsterdam!), handled everything – vaccinations, microchip, passport – ensuring Chef was ready for her journey. When the time came, her new mom flew to Ankara, completed the ministry paperwork in a matter of hours, and soon, they were on their flight back HOME.

The introduction to her dog brother started slowly but steadily – first exchanging towels to share each other's scent, then moving on to eating meals within sight of each other. Before long, they were best friends – cuddling, playing, and proving everyone wrong who said that high-energy small dogs and cats couldn’t get along.
Chef turned out to be the cuddliest, kindest, and most social cat her parents had ever met. Her favorite pastime? Purring on people’s laps, winning hearts one snuggle at a time. 💛
