Flüt’s adoption listing photo
Flüt
Flüt was a very small kitten, found alone on the streets of Istanbul. He didn’t meow like most kittens—his voice was soft, high, and airy, almost like the sound of a flute. That’s exactly why Melda, the woman who found him, decided to name him Flüt.
Melda was in the middle of preparing for an advertisement shoot. They needed a small kitten—one that looked sweet and gentle. When she found Flüt, it felt like perfect timing
Flüt was calm, curious, and easy to work with. But once the shoot was over, Melda faced a decision. She hadn’t planned to keep him, but she also didn’t want to leave him on his own again.

She decided to help him find a real home. So she took a photo of Flüt and posted it on Instagram.
In Berlin, Sena happened to be scrolling through Instagram. She wasn’t actively looking to adopt, but when she saw Flüt’s photo and read his name, something about him stood out. On impulse, she messaged Melda to ask if he was still available.
Melda responded quickly, and after a few conversations, it was clear—Sena really wanted to give Flüt a home. But it would take time. Flüt needed vaccinations, a passport, and documents before he could travel abroad. Until then, he stayed with Şamil, a friend of Melda’s, who offered to foster him.
For several weeks, Şamil took care of Flüt. Though it started as a temporary arrangement, Şamil grew attached to the little cat. Saying goodbye was harder than he expected.
When the day finally came, Flüt flew from Istanbul to Berlin. Sena met him Şamil’s apartment, nervous and excited.
Back at her apartment, Flüt explored slowly, sniffing every corner. It didn’t take long for him to settle in. He found his spot on the couch, started playing with a string toy, and curled up next to Sena that evening.
From that day on, Flüt had a new home, a new city, and a person who loved him. And Melda and Şamil, though far away, knew he was right where he was meant to be.
