First encounter with Ima, rescued by Köyün Garipleri, Ankara
Ima
Ima didn’t have an easy start in life. She spent years surviving on the streets of Turkey, had litter after litter of puppies, and battled TVT, scabies, and severe skin issues that still haven’t fully healed. Her fur never really grew back—but honestly, she doesn’t need it. She’s perfect just the way she is.
She was rescued by the amazing team at Köyün Garipleri, and from the moment she was saved, everyone who met her fell in love. Her vet in Turkey, Merve, was so smitten she hung Ima’s photo in her home like proud family. That’s just the kind of dog Ima is—quietly unforgettable.
WOF Rescue brought her to Brussels in hopes of finding her forever home. That plan didn’t work out, but instead of giving up, they brought her to Amsterdam, where she found the kindest foster dad, Aytaç. He still calls her “the easiest dog alive.” And he’s not wrong—despite everything she’s been through, Ima has the gentlest heart.
After a month in foster care, she found her real forever family—Sevgi and Kadir. They already had a pet, a cat named Arya, who made sure to remind Ima who’s boss (with a few tough love lessons). But Ima? She never once fought back. She’s just that kind of dog—soft, patient, and endlessly loving.
She may not have much fur, but she has more soul than most. She’s been through so much, yet she still chooses kindness every single day.
Now, Ima is finally home. And her family is endlessly grateful—to Ima, for her trust and love, and to every single person who helped her along the way.
