Minik and her siblings rescued by Çak Bi Pati.

She was just 3 weeks old.

Minik

Hazal's path crossed with Minik's when the tiny kitten was only three weeks old. Minik's mother was nowhere to be found, and she and her siblings were surviving on the streets. Thankfully, a volunteer from Cak bi Pati stepped in to look for new families and change the siblings' fate. That was in August 2018, and Hazal and Minik have been inseparable ever since.

The duo has shared countless adventures. They traveled to Antalya and Muğla to soak up the sunny weather, and Minik even got to taste authentic kebap in Adana. When Hazal found a job in Berlin, the two embarked on a new chapter in Germany together. Hazal cannot imagine a world without her furry companion, even though she playfully admits Minik can be quite the terrorizing, spoiled cat.

Minik is the queen of the house.

Hazal and Minik

Minik is full of life

Minik is full of life and has a remarkably strong personality. A true gourmet, she loves eating absolutely anything, but she has a special appreciation for Aegean delicacies like zeytinyağlılar (dishes cooked in olive oil and served cold) and bulgur. Her adventurous spirit extends beyond her diet; she loves going outside, playing with balls, and watching for birds. Unlike most cats, she is fascinated by water and always makes herself welcome in the bathroom while Hazal is showering.

Minik always gets what she wants. While her stubborn and persistent nature occasionally tests Hazal's patience, it is ultimately a trait she deeply admires.

Looking to the future, Hazal constantly thinks about adopting from Turkey again to give Minik a sibling and a permanent playdate. She passionately encourages others to consider rescuing a pet as well.

"I may not have given birth to her, but it feels like I did. It is the best feeling ever."
