Muffin when she was rescued in Nevşehir, end of 2022
Muffin
Muffin was rescued in 2022 by an organization called Pets in Turkey.
She had been found in Nevşehir, where she had been used for breeding and then abandoned. At the time of her rescue, she was around four years old. She had never been bathed or brushed. Her condition was poor, and a tumor was discovered. It took time and care to restore her health and prepare her for adoption.
Once ready, Muffin was flown to Amsterdam and placed in foster care with a woman named Emily. She stayed there for several weeks.

First time Sina met Muffin in May 2023
Muffin’s human Sina tells her story from here:
“We came across Muffin through Emily’s Instagram in late May 2023. My boyfriend and I saw her photo and something just clicked. There was a gentleness about her that stayed with us. We both felt right away that we wanted to meet her — and hopefully adopt her.
When we finally did, it was instant. She was shy, quiet, and very sweet. We applied for the adoption, and everything moved quite fast. Within a few weeks, she was home with us.
Muffin has now been with us for two years. Watching her change during that time has been magical. She’s still a little wary of strangers, but she’s curious, soft, and full of personality.
She absolutely loves long walks in the park, chicken is her biggest weakness, and no one naps better than her — she’s the true nap queen.
We’ve travelled a lot with her, and she’s part of everything we do. She’s brought something really special into our lives, and we’re so grateful our paths crossed.
We’ll never stop being thankful to Pets in Turkey and to Emily for saving her. You can’t buy love — but you can adopt it.”
