Baby Pipet was found on the streets of Istanbul

Pipet's story began during the pandemic on November 8, 2020 , when Aygül and Oğuz found him on the streets of Istanbul. He was just two months old and suffering from a severe eye condition. From his very first day at the vet, neither Pipet nor his rescuers knew how long his road to recovery would be. After nearly a year of dedicated treatment with eye drops and medication, he underwent surgery to remove damaged tissue in his right eye. Sadly, complications arose, and the eye ultimately had to be amputated.
Because they already shared their home with two cats, Kaju and Lena , Aygül and Oğuz initially tried to find a loving forever home for Pipet. However, when no one stepped forward to adopt him, it became clear that he was already exactly where he belonged. Pipet officially became the third feline member of the family. With his unique and entertaining personality, he filled an invisible void in their home and became a true source of joy.
Exactly two years after he was rescued, on November 8, 2022 , the family embarked on a new adventure and moved to the Netherlands. While Aygül and Oğuz traveled with Kaju and Lena, they arranged for a flight volunteer no other than our Ezgi, to bring Pipet safely to his new home.

Today, Pipet lives a life of wonderful freedom, a beautiful contrast to his early days in Istanbul. He explores his Dutch neighborhood whenever he pleases, wandering the streets before happily returning home. Although he sometimes gets stuck on roofs or balconies and needs Oğuz to rescue him, Pipet never learns his lesson and confidently continues his adventurous antics.
He is also incredibly clever. Whenever he wants to go outside, his favorite strategy is to playfully bully Kaju and Lena or to chew on the houseplants, knowing full well this will successfully get him escorted out into the garden. Of course, if the weather is rainy, he abandons his outdoor plans entirely, preferring to stay indoors and lounge the day away.
Now living his absolute best life in the Netherlands, Pipet's world has expanded once more. The family recently welcomed a baby girl named Ekin , and Pipet has already claimed his role as an affectionate big brother, absolutely loving to share in her peaceful nap times. The lively household is fuller than ever, and Pipet continues to bring immeasurable happiness to them all. As Aygül and Oğuz perfectly summarize their journey together:
"Sometimes we wonder if it's Pipet or us that's the lucky one."
