Baby Sosis in Kuşadası
So tiny!
Sosis
Sosis was just a three-week-old street kitten when Ece first met her in Kuşadası. She was constantly bullied by the older cats, and she couldn’t bear to leave her behind. She knew she had to adopt her. Ece is from Kuşadası, but her family lives in England. Everyone told her not to do it, that it would be too expensive, too complicated, and that she was just a student in London living in a dorm. She didn’t listen.
Sosis was very sick when Ece first took her in, with a bad infection and low blood values. Together, they nursed her back to health. She stayed with her in Turkey for a while, but when she had to return to England for school, her uncle and his family took care of her. Sosis was full of energy, a mischievous little girl, and it was clear no one could keep up with her for long.

While studying in England, Ece worked and saved money to bring her over. She handled all her vaccinations, tests, and titers, and completed the quarantine process. Transporting a pet from Turkey to England was complicated, but they started the journey through Turkish Airlines’ live animal cargo service.
They first flew from Kuşadası to Izmir, then to Istanbul, and finally to London. The customs process in London took eight hours before Ece could finally bring her home. The entire journey lasted more than 30 hours, but it was worth every minute.
Now Sosis is happy and free, running and playing in her own garden. She even talks to the squirrels outside the window. Bringing her to England was the best decision Ece ever made. On November 30, they celebrated two years of Sosis officially becoming a British cat and living happily in her forever home.
