Sarp rescued Zıpzıp in Ayvalık and made sure he received two separate operations on his leg. They managed to save the leg from amputation. At the time, they hoped for a full recovery, but it simply was not possible. According to his physiotherapists and orthopedists, his paw suffers from restricted mobility, and one of his front legs was left 1.5 cm shorter than the other. Because of this, he usually avoids putting weight on that foot and hops when he walks, which is exactly how he earned the name Zıpzıp. He currently has a metal implant in his leg that might need to be removed, so it looks like another surgery could be on the horizon. Despite all of this, he is the most cheerful, fun, and energetic boy anyone will ever meet.
Following his initial surgeries, Zıpzıp had to spend six long months resting in a cage. Afterward, Sarp sent him to Talha in Istanbul to help him find his forever home. Aslı happened to know Talha. Right around that period, Aslı's beloved previous dog, Sunny, had passed away, and her heart was ready to adopt again. Talha brought Zıpzıp to meet Aslı. Since she already had her cats, Yumoş and Kedoş, at home, they agreed on a trial period.
Zıpzıp is the most cheerful, fun, and energetic boy anyone will ever meet.

In the beginning, the animals did not get along very well. Aslı was even questioning whether she should return him, but he was just so incredibly sweet. She decided to give it one more week, and naturally, the rest is history. Aslı and Zıpzıp attended physiotherapy for a while, which helped him gain strength in his leg.
Then came their big adventure of moving to Portugal. Sadly, Kedoş passed away just before they moved to Lisbon. Aslı, Zıpzıp, and Yumoş have now officially completed their first year in Lisbon, and the locals there absolutely adore Zıpzıp. People constantly stop them on the street just to pet him. Just the other day, a neighbor called out from their window, shouting, "He is my favorite dog! I see you all the time, and I just love him!"
As for Yumoş and Zıpzıp, the duo that could barely tolerate each other at first now fall asleep cuddling in each other's arms.
